Who we are

The Strategies for Hope Trust (SFHT) is a charity based in the UK which works in collaboration with many organisations in Africa, Asia, Europe, North America & the Caribbean.

We began in 1989, with the aim of promoting positive thinking and practical action in the field of HIV/AIDS care, support and prevention, particularly in sub-Saharan Africa.

In the past this was a project of ActionAid, and of Teaching-aids at Low Cost. Since July 2003, however, the project has been managed by the Strategies for Hope Trust, a not-for-profit organisation. The Trust is based in Oxford in the UK and is managed by Glen and Alison Williams.

The Strategies for Hope Trust is a charity registered in England and Wales, number 1124198.  It is also a company limited by guarantee, registered in England and Wales, number 4814266, at 6 Newbury Street, Wantage, Oxfordshire, OX12 8BS, UK.
