Dawn Averitt-Bridge, USA—Dawn was diagnosed HIV-positive at age 19 in 1988. She shares the trauma of her diagnosis as a white middle class woman in the US in the early time of the epidemics. She relates her increasing involvement in AIDS activism and her personal story on the road to motherhood.
