Dr Musimbi Kanyoro—Musimbi, a Kenyan based in the US, has worked with HIV-positive women since the beginning of the epidemic in Africa. She relates her experiences within different international agencies and raises issues of HIV around poverty, violence, religious influence and sexual and reproductive choices.
