HIV, women and motherhood
Shari Margolese, Canada—Shari is a Canadian AIDS activist who discovered that she was HIV-positive in 1993, when there was a lot of ignorance around HIV in Canada. Her diagnosis came 3 months after having given birth to her son. She relates the implications this has had on her maternity and on her son’s life.
