Sindie

Sindie Malindzisa, Swaziland—After having lost her mother to AIDS-related illness, Sindie decided to get involved in the work of the International Community of Women living with HIV/AIDS (ICW) in Swaziland. She relates the despair and loneliness that orphans to AIDS can face, having often to act as substitute parents to their siblings. Sindie tested HIV-positive in 2004.
